The Christmas Edit: Gift Guide for Her 2016

I don't want to scare you guys, but Christmas is now 4 weeks away. I know. I need a wine too!

I love gifting at Christmas, and while this maybe the works of my own lustings, I have created a gift guide to help you all treat your loved ones or even yourself for Christmas this year.

Without further ado, let's do this! Wine in hand and credit cards at the ready, I wish you all luck!

I'll start off with make-up, which we have a few options. If budget isn't a problem I'd aim right for the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita collection priced at £165. With an eye quad, lipstick & gloss, mascara, liner and a blusher, this kit comes in a handy make-up bag and serves as the ultimate present this year for a beauty lover!

For an easy stocking filler, I'd suggest anything from Marc Jacobs beauty. This year they really stepped up the game with their launch and have been a coveted item on all our lists this year.

And finally for fragrance, there was only one for me and that was the launch of the new Alexander McQueen fragrance. It deserves this spot hands down for being my favorite designer and for launching a perfume that isn't offensive to my sensitive nose!

Notable mentions: Urban Decay Ultimate Basics & Esteé Lauder Sultry Nudes.

For 'the big gift' there are a few that will easily elevate your cool status.

For clothing, I feel that Barbour really stepped it up with their outerwear line. Myself at least is crying out for a new winter coat that I can look effortlessly cool when walking the dog and when wrapping up on colder days out. The coat below features a fluffy hood that exudes style points effortlessly.

As featured below there is a YSL card holder, which to me is the most coveted gift this season. Small enough to be a shocker of a stocking stuffer but packs a serious punch in the gift giving stakes. An alternative to that could be a multifunctional pouch from one of my favorite brands, Aspinal of London.

Two scarves that I thought were great are also featured below. My first pick is obviously going to be an Alexander McQueen silk scarf. It's been on my list since I was around 14 and has remained a classic since then - which I don't want to say that's nearly 10 years! Another is a cashmink scarf from Linea @ House of Fraser which will be a hit on the chilly boxing day outings (Mum look away now...).

Ugg slippers again have been a mega hit this year so these ar included giving your loved one just that little hint of luxury that they may not have gifted themselves.

For handbags, I have two that really stood out to me this year. My personal favorite is the Michael Kors Elyse bag in taupe, which to me was a complete surprise. I am not an MK fan by far but when browsing the pages of Net-a-Porter a month ago I fell in love with it and it secured its position on my Gift Guide. For a less pricey option, a favorite brand of my mothers (which mum, seriously click off now!) is Modalu. I think they have really good designs at the moment and are a firm favorite in our household.

Moving on to the sparkles now and my pick this year is a Monica Vinader Fiji Bracelet, £165. This for me established itself as a classic item of jewelry this year due to its classic style but playful vibe.

Another two quick mentions are practically any charm from Links of London. If you find something that relates to your loved one then they are the perfect sentiment for any season. And lastly, Ted Baker have some really pretty stocking filler pieces that will put a smile on their new owner!

Lastly, we have the gifts for the girl who has everything. The first in this is any candle from Jo Malone. We all know that you can't go wrong with this. I still have the one from my boyfriend from last Christmas, so they make a great gift!

Water bottles this year have also been a trend - weird I know. But it makes sense. We are becoming a more environmentally conscious and health fanatic culture, so why not give a stylish gift like a BKR bottle or a S'Well bottle to someone you know appreciates these values? One being glass & silicone and the other titanium, they are built to last a lifetime and look cute to boot!

And finally, we have the techy gifts. iPhone cables in pretty colours have always been a hot stocking stuffer, and now they are even more popular! Also, tracking tiles have also been possible - which may or may not be a subtle hint for the girl who is always losing her keys!

And finally, when it comes to stationary, Kate Spade makes the most Instagram-worthy notebooks and diaries, which will put her in good organizational stead for the new year!

And with that, we have a gift guide! Lengthy I know, but I hope it inspires you to find the perfect gift for the special lady in your life.

And if any of my family are reading - guess who's been a very good girl this year ;)

Merry gifting!
