The Beauty Edit: Shopping At Sally's

I love a good haul. I can't deny it. When I stumble on a beauty wonder emporium there's absolutely no chance that I am coming out empty handed. And you'll have a fat chance if you can try and drag me away from new launches!

And that's exactly what happened to me today when I went into Sally's in Glasgow today. Thier Union St store is my closest outlet and I had a bit of a rare time when I hauled their store.

In my closest store - Union St in Glasgow, there are so many exclusives that they have before any other store in the country, and while I came into the store ready to spend my dollars on makeup and makeup only, I was completely sidetracked by the in-store exclusive haircare that they are the only retail outlet in the country that stocks the products. So naturally, I  hopped, skipped and practically ran to their exclusives and filled up my basket.

Here, it doesn't take much to distract me. All you have to mention is "Kate Middleton" worthy hair and I am sold and ready for you to take all of my money dollars. Seriously.

Haircare (as you all will know by now) is something that I am passionate about. For someone who has thick, waist length and wavy dark hair, my search for the right balance of gloss, volume and texture is forever ongoing.

I tend to have my holy grail products which I'd never stray from (hello Aussie Miracle Moist = bae) but I will welcome any cult, exclusive and tried and true product with welcome arms and wavy locks aplenty.

When I was in the store, the store manager directed to me to the bestselling and exclusive brand, Maria Nila. Maria Nila is a fully eco brand that is completely vegan also and also exclude sulphates and parabens from all of their products.

Brands that really give back to their environment are really key to my beauty regimen and I make it a personal effort to use more eco-conscious brands. And this brand is one I am keen to discover more of.

I picked up a glossing colour refreshing conditioner from them and I genuinely can't wait to see the results tomorrow night when I have some time to use it. So if it gives my princess shine and Middleton-worthy hair, I will report back ASAP!

Another brand I was immediately drawn to was Amika. And let's be honest the packaging is just downright beautiful. But again the products themselves are eco-friendly and don't include talc, which for someone like me who is particularly allergic to talc, it's a welcome finding.

I picked up one of their texturizing sprays and a little mini dry shampoo for my handbag (and festivals lets be honest) and after trying it immediately as soon as I got home, I was blown away with the results. It has such a clean and light, fresh scent and leaves my waves beautifully undone and with the right amount of texture. I can tell already that I will be buying this stuff by the gallon.

The last thing I picked up (aside from a cute hand sanitizer and mini dry shampoo - the esentials), was this contour palette from Lord and Berry.

Now believe it or not, I was one of the first UK bloggers to text out Lord and Berry way back when and I was blown away by their products, so to see it's first counter in Glasgow really did make me feel all kinds of nostalgia.

I'm not the biggest contour girl. Mainly because I am in the middle of skin tones where everything is either too light or too dark for me. And if I'm being honest, I really suck at it.

But when I saw this palette I was instantly in love. I loved how chic and classic it is, and the colours were perfect for my skin tone. I have been looking for an all over palette that covers the main base of my face and I really think I found the holy grail in this product. I really can't wait to trial it out over the holiday period for maximum bronzing goals!

However one of the coolest things about my trip today was that if you spend £50 and over on beauty products online and in store, then you get a free beauty box worth £50 itself!

The box is packed with 14 cute mini and trial size items (not including the items I have bought/mentioned separately in this post) that is a really good incentive to trial out some brilliant products from stellar brands that you might not have seen or tried before.

And the box itself is just so chic. Black and sparkles? Damn you got me.

It's packed to the brim with eyelash curlers, tanning oils, face masks and more cute minis that you could shake a perfectly manicured finger at. It's the box you need for a girls night in.

If you want to check out the products I mentioned in this post and wanting a chance to get your hands on one of these glorious boxes then check out this link here, and make sure that you make your orders quick smart, as the deal last until the 30th of April!

Show me and the rest of the Sally's girls what you got in your haul with the hashtag #springintobeautybox and make sure you follow the lovely girls on Facebook @SallybeautyUK.
