The Gifting Edit: Finding the Perfect Jewellery Gift

October is over everyone. Gone are the last few 'warm' days of Autumn and we are slapped bang right into Winter. And with Winter comes...CHRISTMAS!

I love Christmas. I'm easily one of the lost little elves that gets everyone geared up for the big day. As soon as Halloween is over, I'm begging everyone to let me put up the Christmas Tree and listen to Michael Buble.

So instead of becoming the living embodiment of Buddy the freaking elf, I'm throwing my energy into buying gifts and getting ready to smash Christmas this year.

With that comes finding gifts for my loved ones that have a sentiment and a meaning, and like everything else I have bought this year, I'm shopping local.

And the first local brand I wanted to highlight is Holly Silver Jewellery.

Holly Silver, is one of they brands that as soon as you see them, you fall in love. They offer so many beautiful pieces that have so many personalised options, so you will easily find a gift that will be a firm favourite with your loved one.

Some of my favourite items include the "Love My Doggy" bracelet which so thoughtfully has my beloved Peach's name stamped in the bone. Anyone who knows me knows that my dog is the most precious thing to me, and having her name on a bracelet is something I know I'll never take off my wrist.

I also love her Large Pearl Drop Earrings, which I haven't stopped wearing since I got them. I'm normally a small pearl stud kind of girl, so these really challenged me to wear something different, and they really have made their firm place in my jewellery collection. They are so delicate and pretty, I totally love them!

Rebecca Robertson, founder of Holly Silver Jewellery hand makes all her jewellery from her wee workshop based in Kinross. Holly Silver Jewellery was established in 2014 but Rebecca has been making silver jewellery since 2010 after completing a Silver Smithing Course in Manchester.
Rebecca is a proud Mother to her beautiful boy Jack who was born in 2014 - since then she has been building this business for both their futures.
"A lot of my designs come through my own personal growth and learning. Each design is thoughtful in its sentiment and there is always a symbolic meaning to each piece. I design my jewellery to embody sentiments from the mind-blowing love you can have for another human being, a connection between friends or family or just simply something that empowers you through tough times. If this is passed on to the wearer then my mission for this business is fulfilled each time.
My mission with this business is to spread love and joy through my jewellery.
It is wonderful that I can create pieces of jewellery that can hold so much meaning to that person - that is a gift, of which I am grateful for everyday."

The other piece that I've fallen in love with is her "Close to My Heart" necklace, which Rebbecca so kindly stamped on my name and added a star to my chain, which again if anyone knows me then I'm addicted to stars - so much everyone is convinced my first kid is going to be called Stella! (FYI, it totally is!)

As a kid who had an oddly spelt name, I never had anything personalised, so things like this really mean a lot to me. And it's something I'd happily give as a gift.

The art of silver gifting is an old one, but for me it's the best gift to receive. I love jewellery gifts and I have totally fallen in love with Holly Silver Jewellery, and I know you will too!

Make sure to follow their Instagram and let me know what your favourite item from Holly Silver is!
